2. Electrical Requirements

Each school must ensure all necessary electrical work is completed by a qualified electrician prior to our arrival for pool installation. A 3-phase 64A IP64 socket is required, complete with a rotary isolator and an internal 40A RCBO. In addition, an external double switchable 13A socket must also be provided. Both sockets should be positioned within 15m of the pool location. We’re happy to offer guidance on these requirements if needed.
 

3. Where can I set up the pool?

The pool must be installed on a solid surface - either tarmac or concrete - that is reasonably level across an area measuring 15m x 9m.
 

4. How many students can use the pool at one time?

A maximum of 12 students can be in the pool at any one time. Of these, no more than 6 can be non-swimmers. This ensures safety, complies with Swim England and STA guidelines, and provides the best possible learning environment for the children.
 

5. How long does it take to set up the pool ready for use?

Building the pool structure takes approximately 4-5 hours. Filling the pool typically takes 2-3 days, depending on water pressure, and heating the water takes a further 2 days on average. Once treated with the appropriate chemicals, the pool is ready for use.
 

6. How is the pool maintained and serviced?

We require out-of-hours access to the pool area on the school grounds. Most maintenance work is carried out when students are not on site, and we do not require access to any school buildings.
 

7. What chemicals are stored on site?
 

Only chlorine tablets and powdered chlorine are stored on site. Any additional chemicals used occasionally are not left at the school. All stored chlorine is kept securely in a locked storage unit.
 

8. When is the site cleared after lessons finish?

The pool area will be fully cleared within 2-3 days after lessons end, unless a longer timeframe has been agreed with the school in advance.
